Guild Ranks

Rift Guild Ranks:

Rank 1 – Den Alpha
Only one person in the guild holds this rank; that is the Guild Leader. Much of the in-game functionality of the guild is held within this rank. It would be impossible to give a full description of the duties involved here. The Den Alpha holds many roles, but the most important is that of promoting the growth and success of the guild as a whole. This is accomplished by means of direct in-game leadership, knowing when to step back and take a more advisory role, and working with a Leadership Team to ensure all of the needs of the guild are met.

Expectations
Ultimately, The Den Alpha is responsible for every action taken by anyone who wears the Pak’Cafan tag. In light of that, know that he/she puts Honor and Truth over most things. The Den Alpha will NEVER dishonor the Pak’Cafan name. He/She takes pride in our members and supports them in every way possible; for in the end, they support him/her.

Benefits
The Guild leader has access to all privileges within the game system. This rank is the only one that can access and change guild settings, including ranks and vault access. The Den Alpha is also an admin for that particular game forums, and can modify group permissions so that our members can see the correct forums. The Den Alpha is also an admin in TeamSpeak and can modify member permissions, add new channels, and police the server by kicking or banning if need be.

Prerequisites
Den Alpha’s are chosen by the guild’s Inner Council. Pak’Cafan’s Inner Council consists of the original eight founding members, a few additions throughout the years, and some Shard Leaders, both past and present.

Rank 2 – Officer
Officers are the heart of Pak’Cafan’s leadership team. These are members that go above and beyond the call of duty. They have shown themselves to hold the ideals of Pak’Cafan in the highest regard and practice these ideals without making a conscious effort. Pak’Cafan Officers are committed to the continued growth and improvement of the guild. They can be considered the point of contact for any and all issues surrounding the guild. Becoming an Officer doesn’t necessarily mean that they have to go through all the listed ranks, but they must have shown themselves as a leader.

Without fail, Officers understand what Pak is; they fit in so well with our family and our ideals that they live and breathe Pak. They are courteous, friendly, and generally well-known and respected within the guild. When someone requests assistance, be it with information or action, officers are often those who first answer or who give more in-depth responses. In situations that demand it, their use of tact is superb.

Expectations
– Message board participation is mandatory.
– Officers are expected to monitor members to ensure our high standards and virtues are being maintained and take action where needed. If you see a Pak’Cafan Officer know that they represent all of what Pak stands for.
– Offices MUST remain active in game AND on the boards assisting the needs of the Guild Leader. Each officer will have set duties that must be performed or maintained to keep the rank.
– Dedicates a large portion of their time to the guild by participation in and out of game.

Rank 3 – Elder
An Elder is the first step into Pak’Cafan leadership. Elders are the eyes and ears of Pak’Cafan’s Officers when they are not present. They have increased responsibility and enhanced perks inside and outside the game of Rift. An Elder has broken his or her teeth and claws and have sharpened them really well. Elders are well experienced in combat as a foot soldier or specialist, and at times even as a commander. Every time they enter the battlefield they are setting an example for our guild and are viewed as the highest possible standard. Through time spent with the guild they have an advanced understanding of the way Pak’Cafan operates, Rift combat tactics, and encounter management. By learning from many in game activities, they have developed a keen understanding of how Pak’Cafan Officers operate and are starting to anticipate the group/raid leaders orders/actions and at times start to take a more active role in events. Elders have an advance understanding of the importance of communication, such that no question in guild, group, or raid goes unanswered. Those of the Elder rank frequently go out of their way to help a fellow guild member when requests for help are made. Since they have developed a name for themselves within the guild, board participation and Teamspeak is required. Elders are always actively seeking the company of fellow guild members for quests, dungeons, and Rifts. Elders are the go to person when an Officer is not available.

Welcome to Pak’Cafan. Cubs have just recently been accepted into the guild and are undergoing a probationary time period. The typical time frame at this rank is 1 month, at which point they will be evaluated. Although rare, Pak Leadership reserves the right to promote earlier than the normal period on a case-by-case basis. Request for early promotion must come through the Guild Leadership and be discussed.

There is no maximum time frame that you can remain in this rank; however, if you haven’t been promoted at the 1 month mark you are encouraged to speak with an Officer or Recruiter regarding your status. In addition to this probationary time period, please note that you may be removed for any reason deemed sufficient by guild leadership — and you yourself may remove yourself for any or no reason at all. This is a trial period so we can see how you fit with us and for you to see if you like the family that we have built here. This is a great time to introduce yourself to the guild, both in game and on our message boards; tell us what you can do for the betterment of the guild. Communication in guild chat is strongly encouraged as it will likely increase your chances of becoming a Pak Hunter.
